Strategi Peningkatan Indeks Pendidikan Melalui Pendidikan Kesetaraan di Kabupaten Mesuji

Abstract


Peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu prasyarat utama dalam mendorong pembangunan daerah, yang salah satunya tercermin melalui capaian indeks pendidikan. Kabupaten Mesuji masih menghadapi tantangan rendahnya indeks pendidikan akibat keterbatasan akses dan keberlanjutan pendidikan formal. Pendidikan kesetaraan diposisikan sebagai alternatif strategis untuk memperluas kesempatan belajar bagi masyarakat yang tidak menyelesaikan pendidikan formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi peningkatan indeks pendidikan melalui penyelenggaraan pendidikan kesetaraan di Kabupaten Mesuji. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi, dan kuesioner pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan yang diperkuat dengan analisis SWOT menggunakan matriks IFAS dan EFAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan kesetaraan masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan anggaran, rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat, belum optimalnya kompetensi tutor, serta lemahnya sistem monitoring dan evaluasi. Meskipun demikian, terdapat peluang pengembangan melalui dukungan kebijakan, kebutuhan masyarakat, dan keberadaan lembaga pendidikan kesetaraan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan untuk mengoptimalkan peran pendidikan kesetaraan dalam meningkatkan indeks pendidikan di Kabupaten Mesuji.
