Abstract

Website quality plays a crucial role in enhancing user satisfaction with digital academic services in higher education. This study aims to examine the effect of the Smart Universitas Merangin website quality on student satisfaction using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. A quantitative research design with a survey method was employed. The sample consisted of 40 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Merangin, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that the usability, functionality, reliability, and efficiency dimensions have a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction, with efficiency exerting the strongest influence. These findings suggest that improving website quality across all four WebQEM dimensions contributes to higher student satisfaction. Future research should involve a more diverse sample and integrate users' perceived evaluations with objective website performance measurements.
